Well there goes another year. To celebrate, a new Tribal House mix is set to be released on Friday 29 December. "The Coming of the Tribal Chief" is a journey through the realms of some of the latest Tribal House sounds.

Tonight there is a live broadcast at 8pm GMT where you can hear some of the best tracks in my mixes over the past year. If you can't tune in to the live broadcast then head over to Zetcast.Com on Saturday 30 December and download the whole show as the latest Housecast.

So you can see there is plenty of activity over the last few days of the year! Have a good one when it comes, and listen out for some exciting new sounds in 2007!

I have been recording the Sunday afternoon radio broadcasts and posting them up to the excellent Zetcast site as podcasts. There are currently two available and will be adding more every week or so. So if you missed the radio shows, head over to Zetcast and grab 'em!

The last couple of months has seen a fair bit of activity in the land of }Moose. The two mixes in the Podcast Sampler Series have had over 16,000 (yes - sixteen thousand) downloads, and the very latest mix - Funkin da Disco - released last week has already been downloaded 6,274 times! I must thank everyone who supports my mixes, and particularly sites such as House Music Links that brings house music sites and mixes like this to the masses!

There's been a bit of work on the site recently, with new pics in the Gallery, a Bio of my music career and a new feature, my top 5 tracks of the month on the Home page. Each month I will pick out my favourite tracks in a sub-genre of house, and hopefully a mix containing them. If you like the music I play in mixes, please support the artists who make it possible by buying their tracks or albums - a search for some of the artists will often take you to a site where you can do this.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Lisa Lashes a couple of weeks ago as she graced the stage of the North Star, Shetland's biggest and best night club. You'll find a few pics of her in the Gallery page.

The Podcast Sampler Series has now been discontinued as a Podcast, but you can still download them both from the Mixes page. I will be venturing into this territory again, so watch this space!

There's plenty happening in DJ }Moose land at the moment, although the website isn't really representing it! With some joint projects in the pipeline, a new mix on the way and some other exciting developments going on (involving some new material production) the second half of 2006 is going to be pretty full on.

The website is also going to change into a more dynamic experience, and there will be regular reviews of new tracks on the house music scene, particularly retro, deep and progressive house. I'm also going to join the Podcast revolution, with monthly offerings of house-related babble, and I'll be inviting guests along to contribute.

Coming very soon is the next DJ }Moose promo mix, a fairly up-beat live style set that runs for 100 minutes. It also integrates some live instruments with the tracks, and is coming on very well thank you! Hopefully released mid August, along with the revamped website and new content. Enjoy!

I'm working on the first mix preview for 2006 that should be online by next Sunday (15 January). This is a rehash of some of my earlier mixes, so you might find some of the tracks familiar. As always there will be some new material in there as well.

The latest mix has been delayed a wee bit. I wasn't completely happy with it so I'm going to remix it on Saturday 24 - my Birthday!!

I'm currently working on the next mix, scheduled for Saturday 17 December. A bit of electronica thrown in for good measure, and it will be known as the "Hangover Mix".

A class vocal mix for you this week. Very much in the spirit of Chicago Vocal House there's a few classic remixes along with some brand new releases. If this doesn't make you move, nothing will. For maximum enjoyment play very LOUD!

As you may have noticed there was no mix this week. An all-new vocal house mix will be in store for your ears to sample next Saturday. I'm also planning to remix some of my earlier mixes, so will be removing most ofl the archive content in the near future.

A deep progressive psy-house mix for your ears this week. Featuring mostly new or very recent material it's the ideal mix to play during a deep chill session. As always, ENJOY, and comments to here or the forum.

Here's the ninth mix - really two mixes rolled into one - a progressive start that goes through funk and African vibes and ends up in Latin America somewhere. I hope it works A bit bigger this time, 110MB and runs for an hour and twenty minutes, but as always, ENJOY, 'cause that's what music is for!

As we were away on the mainland at the weekend there's no mix from Saturday 22. I'm working on a new one though - all brand new tracks and releases - which will be available on Saturday 29 October. I've also been collecting some experimental Chicago House tracks from the 80's and early 90's with the idea of producing a mix of early house with some contemporary material of similar nature. Keep it in the groove!

Another site update - I've added a forum! I'm using the latest version of YaBB - YaBB2 - which is extremely fast and easy to use and administer. Guest posting is enabled, so you don't even have to register to post a message. It's all working and tested except for the email notification facility, but I'll get that up and running soon. Happy posting!

There's a new Saturday mix available, one hour of progressive house with a deep feel. I've been experimenting with loops and EQ with this one, and the choice of tracks fits together well I think. There's a few brand new releases and remixes plus some older classics in this ten tune mix. The 85MB download is available from the Latest Mixes page. Due to a fault with my broadband connection I've been unable to post the mix to the site on Saturday, but it will be available when you read this!
